The Makita DKP180Z 18V LXT cordless planer is a compact and powerful cordless planer for precise planing work on wood. With a planing width of 82 mm and a maximum depth of cut of 2.0 mm the machine is ideal for processing and adjusting doors, boards, mouldings and other wooden components.

The powerful 18V drive delivers a no-load speed of 14,000 rpm and enables fast material removal. The planing depth can be conveniently adjusted via a large, indexed setting wheel with 0.1 mm scale so that the depth of cut can be precisely matched to the application.

For high operating comfort, the ergonomically shaped handle with anti-slip rubber coating is provided. The integrated electric brake quickly stops the planer blade after the switch is released. In addition, the parking foot protects the surface and the planer blade when setting the machine down.

The Makita DKP180Z also features a connection option for dust and chip extraction. A maximum rebate depth of 9 mm as well as a V-groove in the base plate allow additional applications such as chamfering wooden edges.

As part of the proven Makita 18V LXT battery system the DKP180Z offers cordless freedom of movement without an annoying mains cable. The Z-version is supplied as a bare tool without battery and charger and is therefore ideal for users who already have Makita 18V LXT batteries.
